Josh holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Illinois, which he earned in 1998. Over the past 25 years, he has dedicated his career to working for renowned design and build firms in both Chicago and Louisville. Throughout his professional journey, Josh has acquired extensive expertise not only in design but also in construction and project management. His portfolio showcases a diverse range of projects, spanning from smaller endeavors valued at a few thousand dollars to high-budget ventures exceeding several million dollars.

Passionate about landscape architecture, Josh finds fulfillment in designing and bringing to life captivating outdoor spaces for his clients. This passion serves as his driving force, constantly motivating him to refine his skills and artistry as a landscape architect and designer. He actively seeks inspiration from various sources, including travel and research, to ignite his creativity and enhance his design abilities. Josh is fully engaged in every project, guiding it from the initial consultation and conceptualization stages to the final installation. With his meticulous and hands-on approach, he ensures exceptional quality across all phases of his work.

Since 2010, Josh and his wife Kristen have chosen Louisville as their home to be closer to family and provide a nurturing environment for their three daughters: Elise, Anna, and Grace. As a testament to his professionalism and commitment to his field, Josh is a member of prestigious organizations such as the American Society of Landscape Architects and the Association of Professional Landscape Designers. Moreover, he holds a license as a Landscape Architect in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

In 1986, Michael graduated from Eastern Kentucky University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Technical Horticulture, specializing in Landscape Design. He also pursued a Minor in Business during his time there. With over 30 years of experience in the landscape industry, Michael has garnered a wealth of knowledge and expertise. His expertise lies in managing projects encompassing residential design and installation.

Throughout his career, Michael has overseen a diverse range of planting designs, including elements such as patios, walls, pools, water features, covered structures, carpentry, landscaping, irrigation, container garden design, and landscape lighting. Additionally, he has worked closely with landscape crews to ensure proper maintenance and aftercare.

Michael’s passion for gardening and garden design stems from his early years, particularly during his time in the Panama Canal Zone as a young boy. His primary focus in design revolves around integrating the client’s specific interests into a well-thought-out and visually pleasing outdoor living space. He believes that gardens should not only be beautiful but also functional. When planning a space, Michael takes into account various factors, including the area to be transformed, the desired garden style (formal or informal), and the maintenance requirements associated with the chosen garden type. The ultimate goal is to create a garden that harmonizes with the homeowner’s lifestyle, catering to their interests and their willingness to provide ongoing care.

Michael’s design aesthetic leans towards the informal and naturalistic approach, although he also appreciates and enjoys formal garden design. With his keen eye for detail and understanding of his clients’ needs, Michael strives to create balanced and captivating outdoor spaces that truly enhance the homeowner’s living experience.

A Louisville native, Jackson is excited to be putting his education to work in his hometown after graduating from the University of Kentucky in May 2022 with his Landscape Architecture degree. Jackson began running a lawn business when he was a sophomore at Trinity High School and was able to maintain it while earning his degree. This exposure to so many different homes and areas of Louisville really fueled his passion for beautifying outdoor living spaces. He is looking forward to helping clients design and develop their spaces to maximize their ability to enjoy the outdoors for as much of the year as possible. A true outdoorsman himself, Jackson loves to spend his free time playing golf, fishing, and spending time at the lake.
